ALGIERS – Thursday, 23 March 2023 (APS) – Algeria is taking part from 24 to 26 March in the 10th International Tourism Fair “PLACE 2 GO” in Bern (Croatia) to promote the Algeria tourist destination and to showcase its tourist and cultural potential, said Thursday the National Tourism Office (ONAT) in a statement.
The participation of Algeria in this event, the first of its kind, aims to “strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and to benefit from the Croatian experience in the field of tourism.”
This participation is part of “the continued promotion of tourism at the international level by taking part in events and fairs dedicated to this purpose.”
PLACE 2 GO will be “an important opportunity to publicize the potential of the country’s tourism and the variety of handicrafts, and schedule artistic activities to attract visitors to this event.”
The stand of Algeria in this fair “stretches over an area of 120 M2. It is designed in an Algerian architectural and artistic character, and decorated with several photos of Saharan and cultural tourism and archaeological sites.
In addition to photos and videos of hotels, archaeological sites, and museums presented in 3D, the stand will also include large and small screens on the outside to view a series of films and videos to publicize Algerian tourism and its diversity.
Products of the Algerian craft industry will be at the rendezvous, with a traditional tent and workshops of artisans.
